M2 high speed tool steel

SpecialtyM2 is molybdenum high speed steel, which has the advantages of small carbide inhomogeneity and high toughness. Because of its good hardness and wear resistance, it is mostly used to make cutting tools for difficult materials. M2 high-speed steel has a large tendency of carbide, so the heat treatment requirements are strict, suitable for bearing vibration and impact load of the mold.

Tempering curve
- Nitriding :40℃ lower than tempering temperature, specific according to mold design confirmation.
- stress elimination: after super-deep cooling treatment, another high temperature tempering for 550℃X 3 hours.
